Personal Bio
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner working at the Fort Wayne Primary Care Center. I see patients of all ages, from precious newborns to wise and wonderful geriatric patients.
My experience in nursing has involved inpatient care as a Medical Surgical registered nurse and in the outpatient setting as a primary care registered nurse. I have the unique experience of knowing how your visit runs from beginning to end as I have experience from preparing you for your office visit to getting you started on a new regimen.
My career in nursing began after I graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with my Associate’s Degree in Nursing. I have always been eager to learn, so I continued my nursing education with Ohio University in 2016, graduating with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing later that year and went on to graduate with my Master of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019.
After working in primary care for a couple of years, I ultimately chose to come to Meridian because of their mission to “help make our communities healthier through a focus on whole person health.” That means that as a provider, I want to help each patient improve not only in their physical health, but in their social, emotional, and mental health as well.
I have always had the desire to help others. I specifically wanted to become a nurse after someone I love took an unexpected turn for the worst. My grandmother suffered an unexpected complication from surgery and had to be admitted to the ICU.
Her ICU nurse was not only knowledgeable, but she was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She inspired me to become a nurse that delivers excellent care and more importantly, to have compassion for the patients and families under my care.
I hope that at the end of every visit with me, each of my patients and their support team feels hopeful, empowered, and valued. I want everyone that I care for to feel like they are a part of their healthcare team and know that they have someone cheering them on to become the healthiest, best version of themselves.
